We have been to visit this display and thoroughly enjoyed it. I found it very educational, particularly for children, my only regret is that my French wasn't up to taking everything in.
The actualy display takes place in the ruins of the Chateau de Lordat and the climb up is pretty steep in places. There are steps in the steepest parts and some ropes to hold on to. The path is rocky/stoney and good walking shoes or trainers are advisable. The path was dry when we went but I imagine it could be slippery if wet.
The views from the chateau are stunning, which is an additional bonus. The birds all looked fit and healthy and come pretty close to the audience. A word of warning - when asked if you think the vulture is handsome the best answer is yes, if you say you think he/she is ugly you WILL surely regret it!

A 956 mètres d’altitude, dressé sur un piton rocheux dominant la vallée de l’Ariège, le château de Lordat accueille environ 35 oiseaux de proie : buses, milans, faucons, aigles, vautours, chouettes, hiboux …
Vous pourrez les voir dans leurs abris et volières ainsi qu’en toute liberté durant les représentations qui durent 45 mn.

- Avril, Mai, Juin, Septembre, Octobre, Novembre : Tous les jours sauf le mardi et le vendredi de 14h30 à 16h30. Le spectacle est à 15h00.
- Juillet et Août : Tous les jours de 10h30 à 12h30 et de 14h30 à 18h.
3 spectacles : 11h30, 15h et 16h30
Attention: Nos amis les chiens ne sont pas admis !
